John Fotos - Lead Vocals & Percussion

Though John casually sang for schoolmates in the 6th grade, he didn't realize his zeal for making music in a band till he was well into his 30's.  But once realized in 1996, it has been "Full Speed Ahead" ever since.  John’s passion has kept him very busy lately doing as many dates as possible.

John is excited to be fronting Radio Flyer’s new line up and feels great about the increasing demand and fan base that RF is experiencing.

John’s love for what he does can be summed up with, "What I live for, is to be able to look out at an audience and see smiling faces looking back at me and better still, singing along!"

Mike Lord - Keyboards & Vocals

Mike Lord started playing piano in his teens. He went on to play in Club dates and leading and MC'ing many tri-state Wedding bands. In the early 80's, Mike switched to a single gig playing various Piano bars and lounges in the Hudson Valley as a soloist, vocalist, DJ and impressionist. Since 1998 Mike had played in various Rock, Classic Rock, Blues and Country bands until finding "A sophisticated blend of Rock and Roll" - Radio Flyer.

Mike Rizzo - Lead Guitar & Vocals

For Mike Rizzo it all started when Pink Floyd came out with their “Animals” album.  Mike said to himself, “hey, I’d like to learn to play the guitar!  And so at 17, he started taking lessons.  Over the years Mike has gone on to hone his style listening to and learning from the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Larry Carlton, Frank Gambale and many, many more.  Having been a member of various groups over the years, today Mike just enjoys playing.  Whether it’s performing as a founding member of Radio Flyer or playing at home, Mike sums it all up by saying, “It’s what I do……”!

Brad Schwartzseid - Bass Guitar

After a long hiatus, Brad Schwartzseid is thrilled to once again be surrounded by great musicians.  Before his break from the music scene, he performed with the incredible Alice Leon of “The Alice Project”, as well as doing session work with such notable artists as jersey shore guitar legend Ricky De Sarno, NY drum great Jack Scarangella, and Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi fame.  Brad’s current projects include playing bass with “Radio Flyer”, as well as playing with “The Paul Gargiulo Band” and “Shuffle, Jump and Moan”, with front man “Big Mike” DeVita on harmonica and vocals.

Mark H. Schaeffer - Drums, Percussion & Vocals

Mark Schaeffer got his first pair of sticks, a drum pad and basic drumming book from his Father at the age of five.  Playing the “Tom-Tom” and triangle in kindergarten lit a spark in Mark that exists to this day.  Hearing the likes of Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa on his Mother’s “78’s” turned that spark into a roaring flame!  Mark knew the drums were for him.

In his teens, Mark played with bands in Brooklyn and went on to play wedding gigs, club dates and many popular New York City clubs.  One of his fondest memories is recording a demo for RCA Records with his band Legion in 1977 at Electric Lady Studios.  The famed NYC studio owned by the late Jimi Hendrix.

Mark’s varied style is reminiscent of many of his drumming idols including Rich, Bellson, Roach, Williams, Bonham, Seraphine, Palmer, Gadd, Beauford, Colaiuta, Weckl and many more.

Mark Founded Radio Flyer in 2001 along with lead guitarist Mike Rizzo.
